Having a fabulous week I believe? Good then!
I love makeup and throughout my lifetime, loll,(I am very young by the way) I have tried out a lot of beauty brands and products.
I try to be careful and selective because of the very sensitive nature of my skin.
I have tried about 10-11 different foundations and this post is about my thoughts on SOME of these products.
1. Dark and lovely
This was my first foundation. I know or THINK *shrugs* it is Dark and lovely. It had a powder too and the foundation was compact.
I can’t really remember much about it, think it melted and I threw it away. Oh well on to the next one.
2. Mary kay foundation
I began to dislike this foundation (when my eyes finally opened) as it was just too oily for me. It also gave me a very ‘cakey’ and overly done look. I have never gone back to using this foundation but I think I would try out the new matte one- The time wise foundation.
3. Bobbi brown long wear ever finish foundation
My girlfriend in my final year in Uni.
I remember how excited I used to be once it was time for my makeup routine. the excitement was just because of this foundation.
It is long wearing as the name implies and has a velvety yet matte finish.
Come to think of it, I do not know why I did not repurchase this….oh yea, the price! hehe! Quite pricey girl we have here ladies. $43?! Nexxxxxxxxxt!!!!!
4. Iman luminous compact foundation
This one left me with rashes and spots!!! Urgh! It gives a lovely glow but not an all day product at all!!
I doubt if I would repurchase this particular type, I may just go for their oil control foundation which would be more appropriate.
5. Mac studio fix fluid
YOU KNEW MAC JUST HAD TO BE ON THE LIST YEAH? YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD COME IN FIRST RIGHT? LOL! OH WELL!
The Mac studio fix was my first ever Mac foundation. I got the shade Nw43 as suggested by them artistes in Mac store. Wronggggg shade! Irk!
Anyway I loved this foundation and I still do :p
I mean it gives that glow and luminous look; however it is a bit too oily for my skin (n)
6. Revlon colour stay foundation
It has a form of smell as you apply it but in less than 20seconds the smell is gone.
It does not feel heavy on my face and yes very affordable.
You should try it out :d
7. Mac studio fix
I got this again but in the right shade; NC 50
The studio fix fluid contains sunscreen.
8. Mac matchmaster foundation
This is my all time favourite! It contains sunscreen (SPF 15) and is long wearing and has a matte finish. I went for the shade number 7.5 to match my neck and body. My face is a lot lighter than the rest of my body. So I never match my foundation with my face tone.
I love the pump for application unlike the studio fix fluid.
9. Maybelline fit me foundation
I got this less than a year ago and I regret getting it.
It oxidizes like crazy! Too oily, makes me look orangey, cakey….. urghhhhh! everything is just wrong and I just left it lying lazy in my makeup bag.
10. And we are back to my Mac match master foundation.
If you have tried any of these products, do share your thoughts or any foundation you think I should try, do tell 🙂
P.S- I have very sensitive skin with the oily T-zone!
Thank you for always stopping by.

I seem to be on blogging fire this past week.*hides*
This post would be in two parts and I promise to put up my next list as soon as possible. I don’t mean to undermine those in the other list but I cannot put everyone in one post.
FIRST ON MY LIST IS…………………………………………………..
Owned by Amiela Razzaq. Amiela (pronounced Ah-mee-lah) is from Trinadad and Tobago, she is a wife and mother of two kids. If I didn’t pick her, it would definitely have been Bastian, was a tough one but here we are.
In October with assistance from Buntricia Bastian she launched her own make-up line ‘Think Pinke Cosmetics’ which features brushes, concealers, lip liners, lipsticks, lip glosses and a wide range of bright and neon eye shadows.
For her work, I am obsessed with her eye shadow application! I say GAME ON POINT!!!!!. Her general makeup work is simply exquisite. no words! just pure love!
DANESSA FOR I MAKE YOU BEAUTIFUL: She was forced to start a new career due to corporate downsizing, she decided to take her hobby of experimenting with makeup and turn it into a career; great decision imust say.
Her work is clean, very unique. She has had the opportunity to work with a broad clientele of beauty, hair or music companies for print, web, television and trade show productions. With over 15 years experience in the industry and a reputation as an internationally renowned artist, she has published two books and over a dozen training DVDs.
JOYCE JACOB BEAUTY-JJB;
Owned by Joyce Jacobs whose clientele include Millen Magese, Tiwa Savage, Funke Akindele, Tonto Dikeh, Lloyd Banks, Wiz Kahlifah and Wizkid.
With an eye for subtle makeup detail and an alluring countenance, Joyce Jacob started her career in 2009 and has since become one of the most sought-out makeup artistes in the Nigerian Fashion & Entertainment Industry.
I love the Simplicity of her works and I HAVE A preference FOR HER EDITORIAL LOOKS!
BEAUTYBYJJ: Owned by Jennie Jenkins, I call her the queen of beauty vlogging and “Youtuber extraordinaire”. She is based in London and is definitely your go to beauty video blogger.
MORE TO COME IN THE NEXT POST.
here are some beauty/makeup items I cannot do without.
- MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL KAJAL:
MY FAVORITE KAJAL IN THE WORLD!!! IT IS SOO SOFT AND JUST SLIDES AND GLIDES ON MY LIDS. JUST RIGHT FOR THE PERFECT WINGS (WINGED EYELINER OF COURSE), I USE IT AS A SHADOW, TO LINE MY LIDS OR FOR A SMOKEY EYE.
YOU NEED THIS BABY IN YOUR BAG.
THESE DAYS, POWERFUL BROWS ARE A BIG DEAL! I DO NOT WORK HEAVY BROWS FOR MY EVERYDAY; I KEEP THOSE HD/3D BROWS TILL I HAVE TIME ON MY HANDS, LOL! WHETHER YOU LOVE TO FAKE THOSE BROWS OR KEEP THEM SUBTLE AND NATURAL; YOU STILL NEED A GOOD EYEBROW PENCIL. FOR THE COLORED GIRL YOU CAN GET DARK CHOCOLATE BROWN OR REGULAR BROWN TO MATCH OUR COLOURED SKINTONE.
PLEASEEEEEEEEEE DO AWAY WITH THOSE RED OR BURGUNDY BROW PENCILS, EXCEPT OFCOURSE YOU ARE WORKING A RUNWAY LOOK.
FOR A LONG TIME NOW, I ONLY USE MAC FOUNDATIONS! I FEEL THEY WORK PERFECTLY FOR ME. MY MATCHMASTER FOUNDATION IS AN ALL DAY, NO SHINE, LONG WEARING FOUNDATION, I USE SHADE 7/7.5. THIS FOUNDATION HAS SPF 15 (SUNSCREEN) AND A VERY NICE PUMP.
LIPSTICK ADDICT! MAC LIPSTICK JUNKIE! FROM THE MATTES TO THE CREMESHEENS OR AMPLIFIED TO THEIR GLOSSES, I LOVE ‘EM ALL.
I USE THE OPULASH BLACK, ZOOM FAST BLACK OR THE EXTENDED PLAY LASH…hooked TO SAY THE LEAST!
THIS BRUSH IS VERY WELL NAMED. I THOUGHT I HAD SEEN THE BEST OF BRUSH MAGIC FROM THEIR(Real techniques) STIPPLING BRUSH, TILL I GOT THIS ONE. I USE IT FOR MY FOUNDATION APPLICATION, FOR POWDERING, I USE TO BLEND IN AFTER CONTOURING OR BLUSHING, LOL!
MULTI PURPOSE TO THE CORE!

ROMANS 8 VERSE 34
“Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us”
I am so excited for this Christmas; it has been an amaaaaaaaazing year for me! I am sure it has been a wonderful year for you as well.
Anyhooo! we all know that Red is one of the colours of Christmas; to me it represents the blood of Jesus *grins*
Here are some of the red lippies I would be rocking and some suggestions of the hotties you should get!
2. VIVA GLAM RIHANNA 1 LIPSTICK: This is one of Rihanna’s two shades of VIVA GLAM Lipstick. If you love shine and not so crazy about matte lipsticks, this is your girl. It is an original frosty blue-red with a subtle shine and gold sparkle. Every cent of the selling price of VIVA GLAM goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Limited-edition, soft velvety red packaging features RiRi’s signature.
3. MAC DAMN GLAMOROUS: Need I say more???????????? YOU JUST HAVE TO LOVE THIS BABY IN BRIGHT PINK RED!
4. RIRI WOO: My favourite lipstick in the world…..ok my favourite red, lol! MORE ON THIS HERE
5. ROCKY HORROR LIPSTICK: This is pure colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! It’s what made M•A•C famous. Specially designed M•A•C Rocky Horror packaging. I love! love! love! the packaging 😀
- Strange Journey- it is a yellowish brick red with matte finish.
- Oblivion- it is an amplified finish lipstick, appears vivid blushred!
6. HEIRLOOM MIX LIPSTICK: Encased in limited-edition black packaging flecked with silver sparkles. The lipstick with colour plus texture that made M∙A∙C famous. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street. (MAC ENGLISH.LOL!!)
- Sparkles of romance- it is a matte frost lipstick, don’t know how that is even possible, but MAC pulled it off!
- Salon Rouge- Fine matte lippie that appears berry red.
do have fun rocking these and more ladies! holla at me to get any of them too.
*hugs and kisses*
Here they are and what I think about ’em.
2. Maybelline FIT ME! foundation
This is in shade 355 Coconut and it contains 7% Octinoxate sunscreen(spf 18)
I got this just to have another foundation but it remains the second option as MAC ranks tops.( I have gotten my Mac foundation n powder back)
This foundation lasts for about 7-8hours before it starts to get oily and dewy. YIKES!
Maybelline says you have to reapply at least every two hours but aint nobody got time for that!
This is in 006 pink sugar. It was a gift from a friend.
Revlon has lovely lipsticks but this one is just ‘wrong’.
Too light! Smells horrible, looks and feels chalky.
A big thumbs down!
Lipstick shade is in 842 Rosewood pearl.
I use as a lip base. It does not really do much magic but I like the look of the lip bullet. From amazon
It comes with a brow brush asides the brow pencil.
It is a good brush in my opinion and I got it for about #1,500
I would not dump my davis pencils though but this one is now top on my list.
Thank you for reading.
You know I love you…NO BE LIE!

This holiday is really like a dream come true. For me; for all of us.
Do hope we get enough rest as anticipated.
Yes yes yes, down to the matter!
My M.A.C foundations are exhausted(hope I can use that word in this context…ehhhh english o!) and so till I get a new one (prolongwear or matchmaster) i have decided to use another brand.
What is the brand???? *drumrolls* It is Maybelline.
The Maybelline clear smooth powder.
Maybelline launched this product in the nigerian market some months back and I just got mine*covers face*
I got mine in shade 07 Caramel and it suits me just well. 🙂
About the product!
The product is a powder, foundation and concealer in one; hence the name.
What Maybelline says;
☆ Controls shine
☆ Conceals flaws
☆ Perfects tone
☆ Contains Spf 25
☆ Oil free
☆ Dermatologist tested
☆ Allergy tested
WHAT RUBY THINKS!
• I like the pink rectangular pack, really sleek
Also the see through back
• It is a great powder for everyday/all day wear. For us hunnies with oily/combination skin I think it is perfect!
• Cute mirror 😀
• I think this All in one powder is too small! I mean only half of the case is the actual powder. HALF! Plus the case is not soo big. I do not feel ripped off though because its a lovely product, it is just too small in my opinion.
• The price is fair enough.
HOW TO USE
Apply evenly with the sponge contained in the pack all over the face and neck.
I personally prefer to use this with my Real techniques expert face brush. I care less for the powder sponge.
Do get yours and tell me what you think!
2 Corinthians 7:1 NIV
Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
I have really missed blogging and sharing beauty and makeup ideas with you.
Hope you missed me too..hehehe!
I have been ranting and dying to have this brush in my makeup bag. Finally I do!
It is the Real techniques stippling brush by Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo.
Think it was number 2 or 3 on the brush list.
Number 1 position goes to the expert face brush by real techniques…
Here is what it looks like! I got this picture from the REAL TECHNIQUES WEBSITE. You can purchase as well from the site.
The stippling brush
Took the other pictures with my samsung galaxy phone
About the brush: This picture below is the blush brush
1. Ultra-plush synthetic bristles for high definition
2. Extended aluminium ferrules for light, easy use.
3. Brush names for quick reference.
4. Self standing base for countertop display.
What Sam says;
Samantha Chapman’s stippling brush is a trade secret for creating high definition results with all mediums of makeup. Its duo-fiber design allows it to pick up and hold product in the base bristles – while the top, feathery bristles give you a smooth, flawless finish.
1.It looks bigger in photos than it really is. I was abit shocked when I got the brush delivered, I was looking for the rest of it.LOL!
2. Very soft bristles.
3. It does not waste product, very little foundation can go around the face using this brush.
4. So much value for your money, at $10.00, I think it is an amazing deal!
5. It is well packaged; well labelled as well.
6. Very easy to clean!
7. Applies foundation VERY well. Gives a lovely finish!
You can use this brush for your foundation application; use in circular motions or just stippling on the face, as the name implies.
I got mine from @accessoriesng.
The new BHcosmetics 10pc brush set is coming out June 30th 2014.
Can’t wait to get mine!
Reviews on the brush set as soon as I get them.
Thank you for stopping by as always. :*
